Spring Break on the Horizon

My head is to the grindstone with finishing school. I'm plugging through classes, visiting office hours, and going to review sessions. That's just what every week contains.

But, soon and very soon, I will get a breath of fresh air. The fresh air of a week off of school to catch up the life that I put on hold during the semester.

I get to do more of what I love over spring break (I love school, don't get me wrong!). There are clients to talk to about their wedding day, engagement photos, their dreams, and values. I love that. And, it is an incredible privilege to be asked to be a part of the newness of someone else's life (I did pinch myself this last weekend when I thought that this is my job. What a blessing from God!).

There aren't any crazy spring break trips in the works. Just moments of fresh breaths and site-seeing in my own town (and visiting the cute old lady who owns my favorite antique store downtown). But, when I was thinking of what to do with my time this next week, and what memories I want to make, I thought it only appropriate to think through my favorite parts of last year's spring break.

We drove out to South Carolina, but when there's a huge mansion on the way, one must stop. And, thus, the Biltmore.

This. This is Charleston. The first truly southern city I have ever visited.

The daddio who made the trip possible. Very thankful for a dad who lives by the example of being adventurous and accomplishing goals.

We went to the beach on my birthday, and I would like to think this guy made a special appearance just for me.

Birthday cake from Sugar Bakeshop. If you're in Charleston, go there. Even if you're not. Still, go there.

One of my favorite features of the city. Unique homes. Unique doors. So bright and cheery.

With all this cold weather and snow we're experiencing in Indiana, I need to remember that warmer days are indeed coming. Phew!
